This thing is awesome.We bought this to replace the beadmaker paddle we lost, and it fit right on the spindle and kneaded that dough just like the old one.
Machine works well and product is easily removed after baking.
My husband and I chose this breadmaker as a 10 yr. anniversary gift from his employer. I have used it only 2 days and I have two main complaints about it.One, I don't like that this is a vertical machine, I like the top of the bread to be like the bread found in grocery stores. Two, on the basic medium cycle, the bread got way too dark and I had to turn off the machine even though it had 32 minutes left to bake the bread.My son said the bread was burning. Who knows what the bread would have looked like if I had left it in the machine until the end of the cycle!
A very nice machine, got mine from freecycle and it has made many a good loaf.Never a bad experience and though there is a hole in the bottom, that has not deterred our appetite for the good bread this machine makes easily. Seems to be the best price out there for a bread machine that I have seen too.
Brotforms can be poorly made and no matter what you do the dough stick to the splinters or crevices.This, in contrast, is very well made and wonderfully finished so that properly dusted it does precisely what it is supposed to do -- create perfectly formed and visually appealing loaves.There are some cheapies out there but this is the real thing and we use them all the time so they take use well.When not being used, they are nice enough looking to leave on the counter.
I have been using two earlier models of this bread machine for at least 10 maybe 15 years.Never a problem.Makes a good size loaf,tastes great,looks great and the machine always works great. It has never missed a beat.I make at least two breads per week. If my current machine breaks down I will buy this model for sure.It cost more than some other models but you pay for what you get.No hassle service.You can even get a knowledgeable person if you want to ask a question.Don't wonder buy this. ps I don't work for co.
Received my USA made Pullman pan and didn't waste any type breaking it in.Used my bread machine to do the hard work: one hour; put the dough in the pan, the cover on and baked for 30 min. Beautiful evenly browned crust on all four sides, and thequickest bake and clean up ever! I am very very pleased with the performance of this pan.Did not have to wash it afterwards -just a simple wipe with a paper towel. It released the loaf of bread that easily. The 9 x 4 x 4 size is excellent for two. USA Pans recycles and the price is excellent!
This excellent bread pan produces outstanding loaves that do not stick to it. I used it the day it arrived with great success.
The "monkey Bread" mold performs just fine.The recipes on the side of the box were a bit generous in the bread ingrediedient causing the contents to overflow when the dough rises so use a little caution.Don't fill more than 1/2 to 2/3 with the unrisen dough.The breads are delicious.Follow directions for greasing the inside of the mold.I have had no problems with breads sticking to the mold and they remove easily.Because the mold is ceramic you have to place it in a cold oven, then turn on the oven to prevent thermal shock and possible cracking.Don't start your cooking timer until the temperature reaches the recommended setting or the bread will be undercooked.The mold is hollow and there is an air hole in the bottom, so if you wash it in a dishwasher you will end up with some water inside the shell that is a bit difficult to drain.
My mom bought this little machine a few years ago and was immediately impressed with it.Never having a bread machine before, it was quite a treat to have a tasty, fresh baked loaf of bread without all the mixing, kneeding, and allowing the dough to rise.She was delighted to just put the ingredients into the machine, start it and in 3 hours, have up to a 2 pound loaf of steaming hot bread, ready to eat.We have never had any problems with this machine and have loaned out to a neighbor who used it and loved it so much that she bought a machine too!
First off...be sure your knife block can handle the 10" blade.I had to remove my sharpener (honing steel) in order to fit it in the block.No big deal, but it may be to some.Measure it out, first.
This breadmachine with crust set on medium, burned the bottom half of the crust, every time. The little window on top for selections - is hard to read or see what shows up, other than time numbers. I had to get help from another person to make sure entries were correct.I didn't like the size,shape of the bread baking pan. In all it just was not what I thought from reading the product descriptsion, and reading comparison product information. I am 67 and an experienced bread maker, and was wanting a good machine to replace being able to do the job for myself.
Stop trying to jam that 2 lb. fresh (bread machine) loaf of bread in a plastic bag.For some reason, grocery stores do not carry boxes of plastic bags that are large enough to store these 2 lb. loafs.I've tried for months.Finally I found this and the plastic bags are history.Good for me and good for the environment too.This is a great product.I'm glad I found it and bought it.You won't regret having this on hand to store that wonderful loaf of bread fresh from the bread machine or oven.
Good price, quick delivery, excellent condition, very functional, useful, sanitary and easy to clean and maintain.Just started the home breadmaking thing - and this bread keeper is a must-have if you intend to do the same.It may seem a little counter-intuitive to actually have an adjustment to let air into the storage space (although you can still close it 100% off), but believe it or not it's actually the humidity balance that will optimize the freshness of your home-baked bread (assuming you're not putting preservatives into your mix!).The adjustability is very useful.I would highly recommend this to anyone purchasing a home bread making machine.It's probably very useful for optimizing the storage of store-bought baked goods as well.
So, this is my second Breadman. I returned the first after 3 weeks becasue the pan would pop up while kneading, espeically those tougher doughs like whole wheat. I would have to babysit it and relock it in when it came out.Came down once in the am to find my bread half mixed, but cooked through....what a mess!
I picked this up at a little strange store here in town - brand new - for $10.It is a bit of a joke.Please realize that it does not mix bread for you, but to be fair - it doesn't say that it does.It also only heats to 300 degrees.That is not nearly hot enough to brown bread.This is a bread machine that can be purchased in 4-packs as a promotional item. (Google it!) Please, look at another bread machine.
When I first considered purchasing a bread machine, I began months of research, and still hesitated. After purchasing this product I did not have one regret. It is easy, to use, east to set up, and makes excellent breads.
HH gave this to me for Christmas because he knew I've been wanting one for so long and I've baked 3 loaves so far (lots of ingredients to buy)! It takes about 3 hours to cook a fully developed loaf and almost 1 1/2 hours for rapid. Homemade bread is so delicious! You basically add the ingredients in order (yeast always last), press the settings, the breadman kneads and bakes, press stop, eject, and enjoy!
My husband bought this bread machine for me several years ago for Christmas and I absolutely LOVE it!!! In fact I've used it so much that I finally wore out the motor and now I'm in the process of buying another one just like it.Mind you on an average I use my machine 3-5 times a week.A lot of times I'll make a loaf of bread when I get home from work.Throw in the ingredients, push the button and it's that easy.Within a couple of hours, fresh hot bread. On the weekends when I have a little more time, I make a lot of things from the dough cycle.We did our research and found this machine to be the best buy. I highly recommend this machine. Very easy to use, very user friendly. I've made everything from white bread, wheat bread, raisin bread and I even tried some of the off the wall breads. I use the dough cycle a lot and from that I've made pizza dough, English muffins (which my kids JUST love), pretzels, dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls the list goes on. Honestly, the stuff I've made taste just like store bought if not better. Ask my kids. You know how picky kids can be and if they keep asking you to make more, then you know it's got to be good. If you're buying your first bread machine and are confused on what kind of cookbooks to buy because there are so many to choose from, Donna Rathmell German has the best. She has about 6-7 bread machine cookbooks. I bought them all and have tried several different recipes from every book. There was not one recipe I did not like. Everything turned out great!!! These are good books to have if your just beginning.She helps you understand everything you need to know about how to make the perfect breads. Good luck and I hope you enjoy your machine.
Only two things could be adjusted for me to like this slicer better.1 - the grooves could be deeper to keep from slicing into the wood. 2 - the guide could be adjustable.Other than that, it is a handy tool to use with baked bread. We use a bread machine that makes a pound and a half loaf. This has really removed the guess work of slicing. The bread should be cooled a little before attempting to slice.We often take bread to functions and using this we now have nice even slices. It is a lot neater using it rather than a plain board, too.All in all, a great kitchen aide.
